Nicola was born in the UK; travelled by boat to Melbourne, Australia, in 1970 and has been travelling the world extensively ever since, working as a filmmaker, of award wining films for both Corporate and Charity sectors. She currently resides in a late nineteenth century Baptist chapel in the heart of a small village in East Sussex.
Upon discovering her natural affinity with clay, she renounced her career and took up her life long dream of going to college to study Art, attending Hastings University to study for a BA (Hons) Designer maker. Followed by an MA in Ceramics & Glass at the RCA in 2025.
